Discipline Under IDEA

According to IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, students with disabilities are given different consideration when being disciplined according to a school's code of conduct. If the student's disability is found to have caused the misbehavior they are generally allowed to return to class. This system is now being debated in Congress. More on Special Education resources.
