Parent-teacher conferences are an important part of helping children succeed in school. Most secondary school programs do not require a yearly parent-teacher conference, so when these occur they are typically for students who are struggling with either their behavior or their classwork. Therefore, it is important for secondary educators to take the time to prepare themselves for these conferences and to make them as effective as possible.
