Each year an increasing number of school districts vote to institute school uniforms in their schools. Allentown School District became one of the latest when it approved a plan on January 10th. Districts from places as different as Vineland Board of Education in New Jersey to the McComb School System in Mississippi are looking into instituting these policies for the next school year. These policies are met with praise by some and consternation by others. The debate over school uniforms will not go away anytime soon as individuals from both sides of the argument bring up evidence in their favor.
