Welcome to the Secondary School Educators site. I hope you will find my features and lists of Internet links interesting and useful.
Browsing the Internet is great fun for me
since I love learning about new things in or out of the field of
education. I have a doctorate in Education, a masters in learning
disabilities and a bachelor of arts with a major in English. I have
taught English grades 8-12, journalism, and a variety of courses in
both resource and full time programs (grades 1 - 12) for the learning
disabled, the emotionally handicapped, and the gifted.
Currently, I teach tenth grade English in a public high school in the
mornings and work on this web site most of the rest of the hours I'm
awake. If you'd like to see me hard at work, check the Web
cam on my personal site. It's not working automatically yet,
but the program author has said he'll help me straighten it out
soon.
The featured topics of articles and Net links
lists I've posted on the site are geared toward high school and
middle school educators. The range is fairly broad; you can see
what's here by clicking on "Features" and "Net links" in the
navigation menu on the left side of your screen. If you have a
special topic you'd like me to address, please let
me know.
Please take a few minutes to post on our bulletin
board and stop in our chat
room. I am trying to schedule teacher guest hosts for teen
discussions. If you might be willing to co-host an hour of teen or
adult chat on a topic of interest to you, please let
me know that too! I think this could be a lot of fun.
