Florida has decided to eliminate teacher tenure. Many teachers have met this new law with a great amount of dread, fearing that they could be fired for completely non-job related issues. On the other hand, many individuals feel that teacher tenure allows incompetent teachers to remain in place. What are you thoughts about this? Do you think that tenure is a good or bad thing for the teacher profession? Should states be eliminating it?
